Cake Pops

Cake Pops

So, this week I tried to do something I thought would be easy. It was a little more technical than I realized. I am a beginner baker so pretty much every recipe is something new, but I learn from each of them.

  • The recipe is at the bottom of the page.

Step one: In a large bowl make the cake as per instructions on the back of the box. (Any cake mix is fine.)

Step two: Let the cake cool. Crumble the cake and mix with 1/2 container icing. Make into balls and put in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

Step three: Melt some chocolate chips in a bowl. Dip the balls into the chocolate and decorate with sprinkles. Put in the refrigerator and enjoy.

 😻😺🙀Mishaps are my favorite 🙀😺😻

Some of my cake balls fell apart in the chocolate when I was dipping them. So, I drizzled the chocolate over the top of them. They looked festive and still tasted delicious.

 Ingredients:

  • Cake mix (any flavor)
  • Container of frosting
  • Ingredients on the back of the box

Ingredients: Decorations

  • 2 - 3 cups Chocolate chips
  • Sprinkles

Directions

  • Bake the cake per directions on the back of the box
  • Let the cake cool when done

  • Crumble up cooled cake
  • Mix about 1/2 to 3/4 of icing into cake crumbles
  • Use a tooth pick (or wooded stick) and dip into melted chocolate
  • Use sprinkles for topping

Good Luck and Enjoy!!
