Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies

This week I went with a traditional cookie Chocolate Chip Cookies. Yummy. This recipe made a lot more than I thought it would, which is not a bad thing. This recipe is so good that I got a request already to make more.

What you didn't see is that some of my cookies were a little more "done" than other batches. I found that I prefer the ones a little more "done".

Below is the recipe.

Combine dry ingredients: flour, baking soda and salt
Blend together butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla extract
Blend well then add in eggs and mix well.
Add in dry ingredients slowly. Mix well, then stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
Put on baking sheet and bake.

Ingredients

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions

  • In a small bowl combine: flour, salt and baking soda
  • In a large bowl mix:  butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract
  • Add eggs (one at a time) to large bowl. Mix well.
  • Slowly add in flour mixture (small bowl) gradually, mix until creamy
  • Stir in chocolate chips and pecans
