This cake was delicious!! It was a big hit with my family. There are other things you can add on the top to make it a little extra special like mini marshmallows, shave some chocolate or drizzle some hot fudge. The hot fudge option is what I'm thinking about for the next time I make it.
- The recipe is at the bottom of the page.
Step one: In a large bowl make the cake per the ingredients on the box. Then bake.
Step two: When the cake comes out of the oven, poke holes into the cake. In a medium bowl use 1/2 - 3/4 of the marshmallow creme (this is optional - you can use the whole container if you want) and add 2 tablespoons water. Microwave for about 20 seconds. Mix and spread on the cake. Make sure it gets in the holes.
Step three: Heat up fudge in the microwave. Stir on pour on the top of the cake. The amount you use is optional, I used about half of the jar. You can also save some to use as the topping. Let cool.
Step four: Mix together cool whip and 2 packets of instant hot chocolate mix. Put onto of the cake once it's cooled. Refrigerate for 30 minutes and then serve. Store in the refrigerator.
