Sands Cookies

Sands Cookies

This week I made a cookie that always reminds me of my Grandma. For years, I would think about making them but never found the time to do it. In the last few years, I decided I was going to try and make them.

There was another funny mishap I hope you enjoy them, because I have a feeling they will keep happening.

  • I was trying to move the cookies to the cooling rack and one of the cookies crumbled
  • When I was trying to put a cookie on the plate for display, the cookie broke in half

Ingredients:
2 cups All Purpose Flour
1/3 cup Sugar
2 teaspoons water
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup Butter
1 cup chopped pecans
Topping:
Powdered sugar
Directions:
In a large bowl mix flour, sugar, water, vanilla extract and butter.
Then add pecans to mixture.
Roll into abut 2 1/2 long finger shape.
Bake at 325 degrees for 30 - 33 minutes.
Once baked move to cooling rack and then dust with powdered sugar.
Enjoy! 😸✨
Please remember I am a mom who wants to bake more (not a professional baker).
